Suranne Jones

Sarah Anne Jones (also known as Suranne Jones) is an English actress and producer. Her fame has been built by portraying the character of Ruth Slater in the miniseries "Unforgiven," as Detective Rachel Bailey in the police procedural drama 'Scott & Bailey', and the role of GP Gemma Foster in the medical show 'Doctor Frank'. Originally from Chadderton, Greater Manchester, Jones has joined the Oldham Theatre Workshop and received her BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts from the workshop. in a stage production of Wait Until Dark, she appeared as Gloria at the age eight. In 1997 she made her acting debut onscreen in a "Coronation Street episode'. In 2000, she returned in the soap to play Karen McDonald. After she left the ITV soap She was cast in several roles on television programs like 'Vincent "Strictly Confessional" and "Harley Street".
