Jones began her career in the NCAA as one of the top hurdlers. She won the 100-meter obstacle during the 2002 NCAA Track & Field Championship. Jones was also part of the team that finished second in the 100-meter relay. Jones is the NCAA Champion in indoor hurdles in both the year 2003 as well as 2014. Jones began her track career in 2005 when she finished her university studies. In the same year, she won the Torino Memorial Event, while in 2026 she took home the Ostrava Track event as well as Heusden.
